Dear sports enthusiasts,

On Wednesday April 3th 2019, LOKO Sport and Apolloon together with the University Sports Centre for the fifth time organise an obstacle run called “Survival of the Student”. This will take place at the University Sports Centre of the KU Leuven and castle park Arenberg. The trail will be approximately
6,5 km long and various obstacles will block your path. You can sign up/register from 3 pm. You can find all necessary information about our event down below!

How much does it cost to participate in this amazing event?

KU Leuven student: 10 euros
Non-KU Leuven student: 16 euros

What do you have to do before the actual start?

Registering at least 30 minutes in advance is necessary. You can only start in the wave you chose during the subscription. This means it is not possible to start in another wave. The waves will start on the planned hours, so don’t be late!

How can you register?

Registrations take place at ‘Sportkot’ in front of building De Nayer, close to the start. When you register, you receive a starter pack including a T-shirt. Students must show their student card when registering. Also non-students need to able to officially identify themselves. You can register from 3 pm.

Can I store my belongings somewhere during the event?

Of course! A free wardrobe will be provided for the participants of Survival of the Student in the sports hall of building De Nayer. This wardrobe is accessible via the outside of building De Nayer.

Can I change clothes somewhere or take a shower after the event?

There are separate dressing rooms and showers for men and women. These are the outdoor dressing rooms of building De Nayer. You are supposed to change there, and not in building De Nayer itself. Building De Nayer will only be accessible to the staff and the athletes who don’t participate in Survival
of the Student.

How can I get there?

Bike parking places are accessible near the Gymnasium, the running track and Alma 3. The OHL-parking and parking Bodart can be used.

Will there be food and drinks?

Halfway through the track, there will be a beverages supply. At the finish you will also be provided with drinks and a small snack.

What should I wear?

Make sure you wear sporty clothes that can get wet and dirty. Attention: spikes and soccer shoes are not allowed.

Waves:

The first wave starts at 16 hour. Between two waves there are 10 min. so the second wave starts at 16:10, the third at 16:20 and so on. This until the final wave at 19:10.

Are non-runners also welcome?

Supporters are certainly welcome! Come and encourage all your friends or your sweetheart!
